"The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments. There are seven sacraments in the Church:
Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony." - Catechism of the Catholic Church 1113
As Catholics, we believe that all seven sacraments were instituted by Christ and entrusted to his Church by which divine life is dispensed to his people. They are visible signs of an invisible reality (CCC 1131).
The celebration and reverence of the seven sacraments are an integral part of what it means to be Catholic and play a key role in the Church's ministry.
