Buildings & Grounds COmmittee
The Buildings & Grounds Committee meets monthly and goes over the campus-wide maintenance projects. Collectively, we use the group's expertise to execute projects using the best resources available as well as looking at project costs.

Finance Council
The Parish Finance Council provides advice to the Pastor in administering the material goods of our church and school. Canon Law specifies that members of the Finance Council must be persons skilled in financial matters and of outstanding integrity. We are very blessed to have a Finance Council that serves with such generosity and capable expertise.

Parish Council
The Parish Council meets monthly with the pastor to discuss how St. John the Baptist can continue the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelization, worship, catechesis, vocations, works of mercy, and stewardship. These six areas are referred to as the "pillars" or "teams" and helps us ensure we are paying attention to ministering to the parish and community in a variety of ways.
The primary mission of the parish council is the implementation of Cornerstone, our parish's five-year pastoral plan. You can view Cornerstone HERE or pick up a hard copy in the parish office.

Cornerstone Teams
EVANGELIZATION TEAM
Evangelization Team focuses on proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through fellowship and retreats, inviting people to follow Jesus, to become Catholic, to become members of our parish, and encouraging other parishioners to do the same.
Some of the ways we do this are through parish missions, distribution of Mass Every Sunday, coffee and donuts, and new parishioner breakfasts.

WORSHIP TEAM
Worship Team is made up of representatives from the various liturgical ministries at the parish who help facilitate worship of the One who is infinite and eternal.
Some of the ways they do this is through promoting Eucharistic Adoration, Stations of the Cross during Lent, recruiting and trianing more liturigcal ministers each fall, and coordinating special liturgies and prayer events throughout the year.

CATECHESIS TEAM
Catechesis team focuses on teaching and education in the faith. Pope Saint John Paul II stated that, "Catechesis is an education in the faith of children, young people, and adults, which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life"
Some of they ways they do this is through bible and book studies, utiliizing our digital catechesis resources, assisting with religious education, and exploring new educational materials for the parish.

VOCATIONS TEAM
Vocations Team focuses on helping nurture and promote vocations within the parish. A vocation is God's unique call - for each person - to a particualr state of life so that one may grow in holinesss and help others to do the same, so that they may become Saints.
Some of the ways they do this is through our marriage and baptismal prep programs. seminarian care packages, and talks about vocations.

WORKS OF MERCY TEAM
The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbors in their bodily and spiritual needs.

- Instruct the ignorant
- Give water to the thirsty
- counsel the doubtful
- Clothe the naked
- Admonish the sinner
- Shelter the homeless
- Bear patiently those who wrong us
- Visit the sick
- Forgive offenses
- Visit the imprisoned
- Comfort the afflicted
- Bury the dead
Some of the ways we tend to these physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are through ministry to the homebound and sick, support groups, a "take a meal" program, and coat and food drives.
